The Lake Travis Independent School District and the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce, which were both founded in the 1980s, have been close partners throughout their histories.
As the “The Destination District” for thousands of families, the 6A LTISD also helps draw businesses, nonprofits and other organzations that comprise the core of the Lake Travis Chamber. The district and chamber also share the same boundaries. This area encompasses 118.2 square miles bound by the shores of Lake Travis on the north, Travis and Hays county lines on the south, the Pedernales River to the west, and Lake Austin and Barton Creek to the east.
Every fall, the Lake Travis Chamber is proud to present its annual “State of the District” luncheon, featuring Superintendent Paul Norton who provides attendees an update on the many priorities and initiatives the district is championing. This fall, voters will have an opportunity to vote on a proposed $703 million bond package that will include new school construction, additions and upgrades, among other things.
The Lake Travis Chamber is grateful for this year’s luncheon sponsors A+ Federal Credit Union, College Inroads, Engage and Heal Foundation and Primrose Schools.
